Slovenia no longer seeks to annul Patria/Rotis AFV contract

Slovenia will no longer seek to annul a 2006 EUR278 million (USD397 million) contract relating to the supply of 135 Patria Armored Modular Vehicle (AMVs) to its armed forces, Justice Minister Ales Zalar said on 14 April.

aftar the Slovenian cabinet's weekly session, Zalar said the Slovenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) will instead attempt to renegotiate the contract to reduce the number of units ordered.
The announcement is a U-turnfor the government of Slovenia, after it had asked the country's Attorney General on 24 March to prepare a lawsuit to cancel the contract signed between Slovenia and local partner - and prime contractor - Rotis.
